City was founded as a silver-mining town in 1869. By 1900, it
was a booming mining town with 10,000 residents and 100 saloons.
Today this historic mining town is world-renowned for skiing and
snowboarding, not to mention snowmobiling, fishing,
snowshoe adventures, bobsled, luge, horseback, or sleigh rides.
Park City is
home to three major ski areas Park City Mountain
Resort, Deer Valley Resort, The Canyons, and also is
home to the Utah Olympic Parks.
Park City
Mountain Resort: Contains one of the longest slides in
the world with four tracks for more curls, swirls, dips and
turns. You'll slide down 550 vertical feet over 3,000 feet of
track.
Deer
Valley Resort: Deer Valley has 91 ski trails, served
by 21 lifts.
The
Canyons: The Canyons ski resort is the largest single
ski and snowboard resort in Utah and one of the five largest in
the U.S.

Olympic Parks: Guided tours are conducted on summer
weekends Visitors are shown the bobsled rides, zipline
rides, Quicksilver alpine slide rides, Olympic museum, an
interactive museum, freestyle aerial and ski jumping shows.

Oval: This facility consists of five acres under a
clear span suspension roof. and houses a 400-meter speed skating
oval, two international size ice sheets, indoor soccer field, a
four-lane 442-meter state of the art running track, eight
110-meter sprint lanes, high performance weight room.

World-class athletes
and weekend recreationalists enjoy the facility on a year-round
basis.
